Who We Are and What We Do |

Concern about environmental quality in the community has grown over the years as people have become more aware of the impact of their daily lives on their natural surroundings. Quietly, behind the scenes, a corps of citizen volunteers is making progress through the Texas Master Naturalist a little-known program being conducted state-wide through a partnership between the Texas Parks Wildlife Department TPWD) and Texas Cooperative Extension (TCE). Texas Master Naturalists are ordinary citizens committed to the conservation, protection, and restoration of our natural resources through volunteer service and educational outreach. |

Interested in becoming a member?
Master Naturalists are dedicated to the conservation, preservation, and restoration of our natural resources, and promoting ecological education for all. Upon completing a comprehensive training program, Master Naturalist volunteers provide programs and projects that increase appreciation of our natural environment, promote the maintenance of and sustainable use of public open spaces, and protect and preserve native flora and fauna and their habitats.
